An announcement by Statistics Canada on September 25 stated that the average weekly earnings for workers in British Columbia grew by just 3.1% in the 12 months to July.
Here’s some information on the comparisons.
B.C. employees earned an average weekly salary, including overtime, of $893 in July. This is slightly lower than the average across Canada, which saw growth of 3.3% over the same period to $940.
Alberta dominates employee salaries, with the average worker earning $1,154 every week. This is up 4.8% compared with the previous year.
